Bluetooth and battery

Does it use much battery having Bluetooth on - even if you're not using it?

Thanks to many improvements over time (not just by Apple - same goes for most devices)
Bluetooth is no longer the sucker it used to be.
How much extra does it use idle? You have to try for yourself. All sorts of factors influence that.
Definitely: you save a bit when it's off or when you disable "discoverability"!

Long story short: yes, but nowhere near as much as it used to be in the days of feature phones with Bluetooth V1.0 and tiny batteries.
