It was Wednesday this week when we first relayed word of the supposed Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, a slightly watered down version of the flagship S4 with a purported 16MP rear camera.
Fast-forward a couple of days and the thing has only gone and gotten itself confirmed by Bluetooth SIG. Well, sort of.
What’s the hell’s a Bluetooth SIG? Its full name is Bluetooth Special Interest Group, a non-profit organisation that oversees, er, Bluetooth-related stuff; device classifications and so on.
Bluetooth SIG mentions "Samsung Mobile Phone(SM-C101)", that being the model number touted by SamMobile in their original Galaxy S4 Zoom leak-a-tron. Well, close enough.
The signatorials don’t provide anything in the way of Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom specs, but we’ve been told to brace for a 4.3in qHD Super AMOLED display, 8GB internal storage (with microSD compatibility), and Android Jelly Bean.
There’s no specific word on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom’s processor or RAM just yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be dual-core with a modest 1GB. Time will tell.
Incidentally, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom release date is tipped for the week commencing June 3. That’s for the black model in particular, with the white chap following a couple of weeks later.
