What happens if my broken iPhone is out of warranty?

Will Apple replace it, or do I have to pay for repair?

I've replaced a fair few screens (both digitizers and LCDs) for friends. It's not expensive (7-8 quid for a digitizer, 15 quid for an LCD) and quite simple to do. There are many guides available on the t'internet to achieve this.

Pretty much the same as any other product that goes out of warranty - you'll probably have to pay for it yourself.

How is it 'broken'?
Smashed screen, non-functioning?

Screen or digitizer?
Screen would be the one that shows image and digitizer is clear class that goes on top of it and detects your finger movement.

Oh, it's the glass part. The screen underneath still is working. I see this on Youtube, so I might give it a try. A friend of mine is handy with a screwdriver and they'd be willing to help :D

It's very easy to replace digitizer. Takes about 5-10 minutes, if you follow instruction on YouTube. Be careful when ordering from Ebay. It should cost around 6-8 quid with shipping and do buy from UK seller. Getting one with complete kit (all required tools included) is recommended. Read reviews from other sellers that bought same item. It's better to pay more for quality item as manufacturing quality varies significantly.
