Why is the browsing on my Nokia 6300 so slow? It takes almost a minute just to load one page. Is there a better browser I can use?

The Nokia 6300 only supports a 2G signal, so therefore will never really give 'fast' web browsing no matter what you do. If you're after a similar phone with 3G capability (faster browsing), I'd recommend looking at something like the Nokia 2730, which can be bought for c.£50.

no need to get the wallet out just yet: Nokia's built-in WebKit browser is notoriously slow. 3G or not. It renders pages pretty much as a PC browser would and that takes a lot of data and processor power. But you can install Opera Mini instead. Opera's mobile browser use a technology whereby the webpage your phone requests is compressed on Opera's servers. The page you see on your phone's screen looks like the real deal, but requires a lot less data. History and caching is also handled more efficiently in Opera Mini. Tests show that Opera Mini works hardly faster on 3G than on 2G. That is how fast it is. There are plenty of other browsers that are faster and leaner than Nokia's own - skyfire is another one, and it even plays flash video...
So, if the 63300's slow browser is your only gripe, just use another browser.
