Should I buy an HTC One X or HTC One S?

Considering an HTC One X or One S. I think I'd rather have the 4.3in display of the HTC One S, and I hear that quad-core doesn't make a noticeable difference on the HTC One X. Anything else to consider? Has anyone used both? :)

Yep Jan has trialled both, mentioned on here fair bit, he definitely preferred the S.
I'd say the quad core is likely to get utilised more as time goes on though.

The display on the One X is definitely nicer, a massive improvement over the PenTile qHD display on the One S. On the other hand, the processors are about the same and the One S feels nicer in the hand.

Swings and roundabouts really, my only deciding difference would be that Android 5.0 may (purely my speculation) require, or at least prefer, a 720p display.

I used both the HTC One S and the X for 2 weeks. (both O2 branded).
No hesitation: the HTC One S was the better phone for me. It was, yes, faster than the quad-core X, battery was almost twice as juicy in my day to day abuse.
And the X I used had very poor reception. Compared to pretty much every phone I ever used it lacked 2 to 3 bars on the signal front. Switching from 3G to WiFi and back caused a 1 to 2 minute data black-out every time...

Also, it refused to work with my Marley earphones, and Sennheiser CX 300...

But again: the OS was O2 branded. Maybe a generic One X performs not quite as poorly.
Do I want to find out? nah :p
