What would the cancellation fee be on Orange if I've got six months left at £20?

6x20, so £120. Orange might give you the VAT off too, but it's at their discretion AFAIK.

What Matt said
In other words its not a cancellation fee, but charge for the remainder of your contract.

I think they have to take the VAT off, as you cannot charge VAT on a service you haven't provided...Vodafone do this, plus give you an extra 2% off, not sure why that is...

I have contracts coming to an end with both T-mobile and 3.

Last time I called them (was about four months left on one and three on the other), both quoted me a final bill which was the remaining monthly line rental, minus VAT.
