Yet another MVNO is to appear in the UK in the next few weeks, this time from long-time mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse. The iD Network is being set up to offer flexible contracts for customers, more coverage when aboard to avoid roaming charges, and coverage across most of the UK. The two main selling points will be 12-month long contracts, the hope being that the shorter durations will entice more people to give it a try, and 4G included as standard.
Not much is known about what contracts iD will offer other than one example found over on uSwitch, which mentions a plan for a Samsung A3 with 300 mins, 5000 texts and 1 GB data for £19.50 a month. We expect more details will emerge on the new MVNO in the run up to its launch some time in May, but you can sign up for more details by heading over to the iD Network website.
