Remember the ZTE Grand X? Launching in June last year, it claimed to be an “advanced gaming smartphone” but the spec sheet didn’t exactly blow us away.
The ZTE Grand S, on the other hand, looks significantly more impressive on paper, and it’s just been detailed over at CES 2013.
Of course, we’re not entirely surprised to meet the ZTE Grand S, as the cheeky Chinese chaps couldn’t resist a spot of pre-CES teasing. And now it's well and truly here.
Getting down to brass tacks, ZTE Grand S specs include a 5in 1080p display, quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7GHz, and 13MP rear camera. Not too shabby at all.
Other ZTE Grand S specs include Jelly Bean (Android 4.1), a 2MP front camera, 16GB internal storage (augmentable via microSD), 2GB of RAM, and LTE connectivity.
The Chinese manufacturer is keen to stress that the ZTE Grand S is the world’s thinnest 5in 1080p smartphone, at 6.9mm. However, resultantly, the battery is a somewhat disappointing 1,780mAh.
As for ZTE Grand S pricing and availability, we’re told only that it’ll be available for online purchase in “China first” – later this quarter.
