I’m admittedly a tad confused about the Sony Xperia Z1 S. Some say it’s a larger version of the 5in Sony Xperia Z1, while others claim it’s the international version of Japan’s 4.3in Sony Xperia Z1 f.
Here we're jawing about the smaller guy, and getting a glimpse at Sony Xperia Z1 S specs ahead of its Vegas launch later today.
Credit here goes to @evleaks, so it’s probably safe to say that the proposed Sony Xperia Z1 S specs are pretty much spot on. Probably.
Specifically, Sony Xperia Z1 S specs are said to include a 4.3in display with 720p resolution (a step down from the Z1’s 1080p, but on a smaller screen obviously), 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 20.7MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, 2,300mAh battery, and Android Jelly Bean.
As for the Sony Xperia Z1 S processor, it’ll be the quad-core MSM8974 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 800) clocked at 2.2GHz.
We’re also expecting the Sony Xperia Z1 S to be waterproof, as is the case with the Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia Z1.
Finally! Top-of-the-range specs on a pocket-friendly phone. The official Sony Xperia Z1 S launch will almost certainly go down later today at CES 2014, at which point we’ll scribble more words.
