We’ve been talking about the HTC ChaCha quite a bit recently. Firstly, because it’s one of the phew QWERTY Android phones out there, and also because it’s doing a wee European tour thingy in June and July.
The HTC ChaCha and Salsa were revealed at Mobile World Congress last February, after a video introduction by none other than Mark Zuckerberg. They both feature a dedicated Facebook button, in case you’re too lazy to tap the Facebook app icon.
The ChaCha comes in at £249.99 SIM free. It has a 2.6in screen, 600MHz processor, 5MP camera and four-row keyboard.
The HTC Salsa is yours for £319.99. It has the same 600MHz processor and 5MP camera, but drops the keyboard and stretches the display to 3.4in.
Oh, I almost forgot; they both ship with Gingerbread (Android 2.3).
We’re not overly impressed with the price tags, considering you can pick up the higher-specced HTC Desire (original) for £250-ish. But then it doesn’t have a Facebook button. Bah.
