Android phones have multiple tones for notifications, ringer, etc. Here’s how to change yours:

- First, tap on Settings.
- Under Settings, tap on Sound & Display.
- Under Sound & Display, tap on Notification ringtone.
- You'll see a list of default sounds for notifications.
- Choose your tone by tapping on it, then tap OK.
- Tap the back key twice to return to the Home screen.

Your chosen tone will now be applied to your Android phone.

Before the last upgrade(when I really loved my LG Ally), I had separate ringtones for my text messages and two e-mail accounts. That all went away. Now, when I try to set separate notification rings for each, it defaults to the first one set for everthing. My ears were attuned to the various notification sounds. This was helpful especially when I was in bed. Many other people are having this problem. A patch needs to be sent to fix it.
