A leaked slide from Samsung’s Mobile World Congress schedule confirms that the Samsung Galaxy S 2 superphone and the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet will be revealed at the event next month.
Both devices were being widely tipped to launch at the big mobile get-together before now, but this is the first actual confirmation we've seen that we'll be getting just what we were hoping for.
The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S 2 will have a 4.3in touchscreen, 1GB of RAM and an NFC reader. Its camera is expected to be 8MP and capable of 1080p HD video recording. Despite cramming in so much technical goodness, Samsung has managed to trim the Galaxy’s thickness by 0.9mm.
Meanwhile, promo slides for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 suggest it’ll feature a 10in screen as opposed to the current model's 7in, and possibly the same processor as the Samsung Galaxy S 2 – namely a dual-core 1GHz Orion.
The Samsung MWC event is invite-only, and takes place the night before the conference itself officially opens. We’ll pass on the goss as soon as Samsung President JK Shin dismisses the privileged few.
