What's the cheapest way to buy an iPhone 4?

Should I get one on contract or would it be cheaper to buy it SIM free and get a giffgaff sim?

The best value contract I've seen for a 32GB iPhone 4 is on Three. £159 up front, then £35 a month for 24 months, total over the 24 months being £999.

To buy it sim free at £612, then use giffgaff (£10 goodybag for example) for the same time period would be £852.

So over 24 months a saving of £147 by buying it outright and using giffgaff which isn't to be sniffed at, and you're not tied to a contract.

But whatever suits really, if you've got £612 pounds to lay down now, why not, if you haven't the contract is also quite good, up to you, whatever your circumstance suggests :-)

It all depends, if you already have a mobile thats on o2, then your much better off going with giffgaff, I am with them and they offer some very good pay as you go rates. However if your also thinking about a new contract phone then of course your best option is to go for a contract that gives you a really good package mins/internet/txt etc .. do be carefull tho, there are a lot of contracts out there that for some strange reason dont include an internet allowence unless you pay even more.
