Cheapest way to get a Samsung Galaxy S4?

What's the most cost effective way to get a Samsung Galaxy S4 - SIM free or contract? I don't use many minutes or data, but loads of texts!

It's usually cheaper to go SIM Free and haggle a decent SIM Only deal out of your preferred network...though that does mean coughing up ~£500 upfront, which some people don't like doing. It also means you get a phone with no networks branding and therefore you get official software updates as soon as the manufacturer release them for your country.

Number one: when you own a Galaxy S4, you will use loadsa data :p You cannot avoid it ;)

Number 2, stealing one aside, your question will be best answered when it is actually available.
As to contract deals: statistically it is unlikely that where you live and work ALL networks offer the same quality signal?! So, any preferences? It won't be any good to you if you have zero bars...
