I've been looking forward to GTA5 for months, I wish they'd hurry up and release it.

Dito. Could have used it over the utterly ridiculously rainy Christmas 'break'... March release seems stupid.
Also hope they don't lose sight of story and mission design in the attempt to create photo-realistic visuals. I found some designs in GTA IV distracting - too much emphasis on detailed leaves and sun flare.... Still, beats other stuff

My issues with GTA4 are all things that weren't issues in San Andreas, unfortunately. Namely: dropping frames (put C4 on several cars, blow them up and watch the frame rate plummet), no aeroplanes, no drivable trains, the airport was effectively useless as you got a 4* wanted level just for entering it, the map was small (compared to SA) and the cars handled like crap (okay, maybe that one was true in SA ).
Still, it was a good game and is by far the best Xbox 360/PS3 generation, open world game, IMO.
I could have done with GTA5 over Xmas, too. March is a weird time to release a game, especially considering the new Xbox is expected this side of Xmas.

I never felt really engaged by IV the way San Andreas sucked you into its world. Maybe it was down to the cultural context. When I finished SA the 1st time, I deleted all saves and started again. Straight away. When I finished IV, I finished it. That was it.
