Clove: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 price set at £575 SIM free; no Galaxy Note Edge for UK

Clove: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 price set at £575 SIM free; no Galaxy Note Edge for UKThe Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge were launched a couple of weeks ago, though several key details remain elusive, most notably pricing and a release date for both, and - in addition - regional availability for the Edge.

Clove is the first UK retailer to blink, offering to hook you up with a SIM free Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for just (ahem) £575, while revealing that the Galaxy Note Edge won’t be available in the UK at launch - not officially, at least.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available to pre-order now for £575, and the one good bit of news is that VAT is included in that wallet-punching price.

At the time of writing, Carphone Warehouse and Expansys are keeping quiet, though Clove reckons the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 price is “official”, and that it’ll be available from the week commencing October 13.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (essentially a Galaxy Note 4 with an additional, curved display section on the right hand side), Clove says it’s not coming to the UK – or indeed many European countries – at launch.

As such, Clove will look to secure non-UK stock of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and while it’s available to pre-order, there’s no price or release date just yet. The placeholder price is - hold onto your hats - £650.

Thoughts? Is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 worth £575? Are you holding out for a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge? Sound off below.

Nope. Not interested in either. Yes, OIS might add some wow to the camera. But that aside? Nothing to make this compelling over a much cheaper Note 3. And personally, I'm not a fan of phablet sized smartphone cameras. The Z1/2/3, the Lumia 1520 etc... I find them awkward as snapshooters. The EDGE model of the Note 4, btw, has to be a bit extra-awkward when used as a cam in landscape mode, no?

Might hold out for couple months till it drops to sub £500, in that time the Note 4 Edge might arrive. Would consider the Edge over the normal Note for if the price diff is small (less then £50-75)

£575 for a 32GB Note 4 might be expensive, but it beats £620 for a 16GB iPhone 6+...

But really, the price of the Note will fall quite quickly; I got my Note 2 for £425 in early December 2012.

I cannot believe they even make a 16GB iPhone 6 Plus! 240fps 'slomo', Photos, a few tracks, 5 apps - the thing can be filled in a day.
Have they increased iCloud storage? The 5GB free is a joke. MS doubled theirs...

For me I'm dying to get a note 4. Key reasons for me are the 32gb onboard, plus the QHD screen. I admit these are just nice to haves when it comes to standard usage but.... using it with a google cardboard type of headset the note 4 should give great results.

My Xperia Z works fine but you can see pixels etc. Also, between photo's music and movies, oh and apps, my 16gb onboard plus 64gb card are filled easily. and additional 16gb will be very handy

A day? I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people who'd have to delete stuff just to use a 16GB iPhone 6+ haha :p.
