My iPhone now says E where it used to say 3G. How can I fix it?

The E stands for EDGE, sometimes referred to as 2.5G. Either in settings/networks (connectivity you inadvertently disabled umts/3G, or your network is currently not offering 3G? Could be temporarily. Check your settings and ring customer care. A reboot might also help - occasionally networks change settings, and your phone needs a reboot for the changes to apply.
