How much does it cost to cancel a 24-month Orange contract early?

I’m one year into a 24-month contract with Orange and would really like to cancel it early. Does anyone know how much I’d pay? Is it basically the rest of the contract price? Like 12 months x £30?

Is it not possible to reduce your contract down to the lowest tariff before cancelling any more? That should save you some more, depending on how far you need to be in your current contract before you can switch...

Yep. Unless there are any exceptional circumstances, you have a contract for that period and the only way to 'get out' is to pay up.

so do you have to pay for the phone too stop the contract?

what you may find is that if you take out a contract with another supplier, they may be willing to pay oraqnge what you would owe them.

3 did this for one of the contracts i had, the mad thing was they paid the money to themselves!

so check with prospective suppliers and see if they would be willing to help you get away from orange, you would be suprised at the power you have. also if you looking for a better deal speak to orange as they might be able to help you out as well rather than loosing your money.

It would be 12 x £30 x 0.83 (as VAT is taken off as you're not using the service)
