The same as a big crack or if it was smashed to smithereens!!
Seriously though, if the glass is all that's affected then a replacement glass front is about £15-£20 on eBay. You could try it yourself but that's your call and how you feel about warranty etc
Realistically you'll probably get stiffed for anything from £50-£150 depending how much 'add-on' sale the fitter can achieve. ("Oh the digitizer wasn't working", "the LCD was damaged" etc).
If you can find someone who will guarantee their work, then £50 aint bad.

Honestly, if it still works I'd stick a screen protector on and learn to live with it.

S3 doesn't have digitizer attached to LCD?

Matt's right pricewise. Crack size doesn't matter.
Naughtily, HTC, e.g., won't perform any warranty repairs if the screen isn't fixed first - even if the crack doesn't bother you. So, to get a power button changed, you'd have to pay €150 for a new screen first.
Not sure how Samsung handle that

Samsung are the same, they wouldn't fix the headphone jack on my S2 until they relieved me of £55 to fix the "water damaged" Micro USB slot.

As you may remember, I told them to do one and fixed it myself for the far less ridiculous sum of a fiver. Ironically, it cost Samsung more in Special Delivery charges than it would have done to just fix the damn phone without being awkward about it.

Ridiculous. No, we can't give you Chemo before you had braces for a year to straighten your teeth...

I guess it gave me peace of mind that I wasn't losing any useful warranty by rooting my Note 2 on the day I got it.
