How much would it cost to have my Samsung Galaxy S2 screen repaired?

My Samsung Galaxy S2 took a pretty bad spill and the screen is cracked a little :( Does anyone know roughly how much it might cost to get it repaired?

Sorry, Galaxian, prepare for bad news.

Digitizer is what you have cracked (not actual screen) is soldered to screen itself and cannot be separated. Same as iPhone 4. This means that you have to buy new screen, which is AMOLED+ starting at £100 for non genuine item from eBay.

Amazon is £130 and also non-genuine item, meaning it will not be as good as original you have right now.

Instruction on how to replace it is here. From my past experiences I would say about £50 for a job to do it. Which brings my total estimate around £170 - 200.

Price on website that posted that video is $260 = £201, if you find someone to do it in UK.

My personal suggestion: leave as it is.

PS. Wow, replacement for Xperia Play only cost me £25. Just WOW.

You might try going in to Carphone Warehouse. I cracked my Nexus S screen (same sandwich makeup) and they had a glass replacement listed in their computer for £80 !!! The guys were not sure how the "glass only" could be replaced but they honoured the price and the fone came back fixed in 4 days. WARNING they flash the latest firmware by default so you will be WIPED so remember to backup.

OK... I know this is an old thread but I just happened on it. I have no idea about the galaxi, but as for the iphone 4 the screen is an easy fix and cheap.

Well, last month, the same thing happened to me. I did research and found that it cost more money to get repaired than to get replaced. If youre with sprint it is only $100. Idk about others but it shouldn't to much of a difference, depending on your plan.
