Nokia's Lumia 820's removable back cover means you can change the colour of your phone every day of the week, if you like, but of course there are only a certain number of colours to choose from.
So why not print your own? Nokia has released a 3D-printing Development Kit (3DK) for its Lumia mid-ranger, giving you all the tools you need to design, personalise and of course print your creation.
The 3DK is available to download from the Nokia Developer site, and comprises mechanical drawings of the 3D shell parts, a variety of templates to help you get started on your design, as well as information on the best materials to use, best practices and other helpful advice.
Sounds great, yes? And in theory it is, but unless you have a 3D printer lying around (and they don't come cheap), you'll have to use an online printing service instead, which will still leave you plenty lighter of pocket to turn your design into the finished article. Then again, individuality don't come cheap these days.
