In Ireland most prepay credit expires if you do not top up within 6 months. Worse: they will deactivate your sim - steal your top-up and your number O_o Uniquely nasty. Imagine banks would keep your money if you don't deposit or withdraw for 6 months!

Damn, googling for an answer doesn't always give you accurate results! The t-mobile online help chat said it is 6 months - you're right Jan. But that's loads of time to make use of your credit.

Credit only expires if the credit is unused. If you use a service that uses the credit (ie make a call, send a text), the 180-day limit is reset.
