If I cut down my current contract Orange sim, will it work in an Orange iphone 4?

i've got a blackberry bold 9900 on orange pay monthly with the new 3g sim, are there any different tactics needed to cut this down for it to work in the microsim slot of an iphone 4s? wondering whether one of the sim cutters will still work with it?

A little more information is needed me thinks?
I'm on the Orange Panther tariff, which includes a few hundred minutes, unlimited texts, 50 MMS, Orange maps and "unlimited" internet. (However much unlimited is these days? Seems they change it to suit themselves?)

Seem to think that I've read somewhere on the interweb that they can track your usage and incarcerate you if you're using an iphone or something, or not all the services will work, etc.

Just wondered before I splashed out on an iphone?
Too far to the end of contract to buy it out/wait, not cost effective.
And the last time I asked they wanted an extra £10 a month for the micro-sim, didn't seem to get anything extra, just the tariff I'm on but it would cost me more?

Thanks in advance for any help/information/guidance (_;)

if you look on ebay you can buy templates or cutters to cut your simcard down, if you buy a template you will need a sharp knife to cut it not a Stanley knife a kitchen knife something with a biggish blade so you cut it in one go rather than hacking at it, and no it doesn't matter what phone you use they provide you with network access for your simcard it doesn't matter what phone you use.

Hope this helps

I bought a cutter for a fiver on eBay and it worked. But DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ask Orange for a MicroSIM, they wanted to charge me an extra £10pm for the pleasure simply because I had an iPhone and I am considered a lamb to the slaughter (this is despite me already having a data inclusive tariff). I am now on T-Mobile and they can tell if you are using your phone to tether and will most likely block the ability to be able to do that (opportunity to charge a bit more)

Well i have an Orange sim out of my HTC Desire, have cut it down correctly, but it does not work in the iPhone 4, the gold contact area is much smaller, so I assume that they do not make contact with the iPhone. The sim that came out of the iPhone which was also Orange had gold contacts right to the edges, so I assume the HTC has a different area pattern. so the moral is: if when you cut the sim down, the gold contact area must almost go to the edge of the sim, if it does,nt...it won't work

There are two type of SIM cards.

If you cut them right - any version should work.
