CyanogenMod for HP’s Touchpad finally arrives

While webOS certainly isn’t terrible, there are many people ravenous for an Android port to HP’s abandoned child. There’s certainly been a lot of teasing lately, but now the CyanogenMod is finally available in alpha form.

The new and unique Android distribution is nicknamed the “Lower Your Expectations” edition, which doesn’t exactly fill you with confidence, but nevertheless is still a functioning version.

As an early (and buggy) build, there are a lot of things missing. However, the essentials like multi-touch, dual-core processing, multi-boot support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and camera support all seem to be functioning properly.

So if you’re feeling a bit brave, you and your Touchpad can go on a bit of an adventure tonight. While we’re told to “expect more crashes than you can count”, you’ll be sure to have an interesting time.

No it wasn't, it was posted yesterday...it was TouchDroid's incomplete ROM that was posted ages ago, they stole some of their code from CM. This is an official CM7 alpha release...
