Like the (USA phone) Motorola Droid Pro (ok so the screen could be better, but its the best yet!)

There are plenty of decent qwerty phones out there - but I assume you mean Android specifically?
Lewis Curdie here on mobot just did a 3-parter about the available Android phones with QWERTY keyboards http://www.mobot.net/qwerty-android-phones-part-1-22502
seems to me the current obsession seems to be thinner and bigger screens - that makes a full qwerty a bit of a no-no.
I would have considered a Samsung Galaxy Pro 7510 but the screen resolution sucks, and Samsung felt it's not worthy of scratch resistant glass and a good cam. Looks like a cheap attempt to cover all the bases.
I'm personally not attracted by Htc's up-coming ChaCha - mainly because I detest Facebook LOL.
I'm a qwerty fan myself, but the Moto is very expensive.
I'd consider a Nokia E6, but I need a camera that can take close-up shots.... Grrrrrr, they all leave something out, eh?

Yes sorry, I do mean Android. However, ulitmately I will settle for a damn good keyboard.

I beg to differ (hence my question), they are all either lacking a touchscreen or have a poor specification. I did read the article's by Lewis which has still only left me with two options (both of which require waiting):
1) Wait for the Nokia E6:
- Res: 640 x 480
- Better keyboard
- Better specs (in general)
2) Wait for the Motorola Pro/Droid Pro (UK version):
- Descent screen size
- Screen res not so good
- good size keyboard
- good camera
I think the E6 is out in July but none of the networks/usual shops seem to know anything about it. My second contract is up in November so I guess I can always hold out and see if anything better comes out in the meantime.

Not sure if HTC floats your boat but they are planning on releasing a 3.7" (800x480) slider with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and 8MP camera (currently dubbed the HTC Doubleshot). Whether or not it'll make it over here is anyone's guess but it's another choice to ponder.

From everything I hear the Nokia E6 will be out some time in June. Nokia Germany price it at E429 and Nokia Italy at E419 - not bad considering the specs.
I'm in a similar situation. I decided to give Android a 'miss' for at least 6 months, as I just don't feel it has advanced (faster processors and bigger screens aside).
For 3 months now I held on to a Nokia C7, and though I have to say it IS a great tough little smartphone, a few times I found myself cursing because I could have used a cam capable of macro/close-ups... So, since the E6 will come with EDoF as well, I'm screwed. The Palm Pre 2 I use as a complement has an EDoF cam also LOL... great choices, eh O_o
JUne and July should bring some good new devices...

Yup, I am gonna try out the Samsung Galaxy Pro for a week (with a PAYG sim) and see how it goes. Then I'll take the Nokia E6 for a spin when its released.

Yeah saw it this morning... put my name down for it! Sir Shuwaz Sugar's search for his ultimate QWERTY phone is almost over.
