How do you delete apps from the Samsung Galaxy Ace?

I downlaoded an app that constantly freezes and want to get rid of it! I’m on a Samsung Galaxy Ace if that helps.

Menu - Settings - Applications - Manage Applications. Click on the offensive app, and a new menu opens with app details. There, click on 'uninstall'.

not for builtin apps.

Then you'll need to root and remove the apps manually, Root Explorer can be used to do this.

KIES sucks. Try using Moborobo instead => http://91.pandaapp.com/pcsuite/
You can use it to sync content, drag and drop, delete and install apps etc etc...
To free up extra space, you'd need to root your Samsung Galaxy Ace... that way you can uninstall useless apps, delete system wallpapers etc etc...

If those apps are greyed out and can't be uninstalled, it means they are system apps, or apps that the network cooked in... Do delete them (or "freeze" them to stop them from using resources) you would need to root your phone.

NOTE - seeing that you seem to be new to Android: rooting an Android phone adds new possibilities. But there's also the risk of messing it up. If you are not familiar with the process, read up on rooting, e.g. => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510593

I have had Gaxay Ace phone few months and have received message today saying internal memory almost full and asking me to delete some things. Can someone help me please. Is it to do with my messages. I'm a bit of a novice as you can tell.

Normally your messages shouldn't take up too much space, but no harm deleting old ones.
You could back them up to your PC with KIES first. Then, more importantly, check if you need all those apps? The Ace doesn't have much internal memory, so you need to compromise.

Once you have enough space, install Astro file manager from the PlayStore. Use it to find out what else is clogging up your internal storage. With Astro you can move some stuff from internal memory to the SD card - such as wallpapers (the 'live' wallpapers especially take up quite a bit of space. Also, there might be some demo video clips etc etc... delete or move to SD card.

If your Ace was rooted, you could uninstall useless apps that came pre-installed.
But as a 'newb' you mightn't be inclined to go that route... check out => http://androidforums.com/ace-all-things-root/452326-samsung-galaxy-ace-all-things-root-guide-updated-24-dec-2012-a.html That is all the root info for your phone in one handy place.

Good Luck :)

but uninstalled is not successful is show.

What is the app you are trying to uninstall? It could be a system app that cannot be uninstalled, or an app you assigned admin rights to? Write a whole proper sentence and maybe we can guess correctly? :p

That is a good strategy man

If there is no "Remove" button or it's greyed out, it is a pre-installed/system app that you cannot uninstall unless you root your phone - and even then uninstalling it mightn't be possible because other apps may rely on it.

What 'app' are you talking about?
