How do I delete apps on my Samsung Galaxy Y?
Some apps have an option to uninstall on the Android Market, but others don't. Is there another way to delete Android apps?

Android has customer care? Wow, I never knew that. I might give them a ring just to see how incompetent they are

They shouldn't re-appear, unless they are system apps that you can only properly remove with root access... What apps are they?

When i go into manage apps there are 2 that i have uninstalled that keep coming back. They are com.imi.vodafonerescue and another one called vodafone rescue. When i go into running services there are drm content, software update, market, sns, email, google services and synemmids that i can only stop not ununstall.I am trying to save on battery and dont want things running that i dont use. Any ideas

They sound like system apps that've been installed by Vodafone, without root access you'll struggle to get rid of them.

Does it appear in Setting => Manage Applications? If so, clear data, and try 'Uninstall' again.
Or just redownload. That should overwrite the mess.
What app is it?

Ahem, why do your friends use your phone and snoop around in it?
Anyhow, I know there are apps to hide folders, but I'm not aware of an app that can hide Gmail???
Use a lock-pattern or pasword.
