How do I delete iPhone photos en masse?

How do I delete iPhone photos en masse i.e. without deleting one at a time?
I'm on iOS 7 in case that matters!

You cannot do that. Sucks, eh?
Well, in fact you can delete a bunch of photos from an iPhone or iPad in one go, but it's not very intuitive.
Open the Photos app. At the bottom you see 2 tabs - Albums on the right, Photos on the left.
Tap on Photos. That shows the By-Date list of your photos. Once you get to "By Day", hit "Select" in the top right corner of the screen. NOW you can select all photos taken on Day so-and-so... or select them all, and then untick the ones you want to keep. That done, tap on the bin icon...
Alternatively, open the Camera Roll in Albums, tap on "Select" and tap on all photos that you want to delete. Then tap on the bin... That said, items you imported to the camera roll may not be deletable. I find it all very random, restrictive and stupid. They should allow us to highlight
a range of items - from ...to. Done. Blackberry 5 let us do that a century ago...
