Is there a difference between WAP and GPRS?

Are WAP and GRPS the same? Is one faster than the other?

WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol. GPRS is = General Packet Radio Service. In a nutshell, GPRS is a technology to send data from cell mast to phone, BUT it does not enable your phone's apps to access the net. FOR THAT the WAP is one protocol of many.
So, NO. They are not the same thing. It's more like GPRS is a wireless dial-up thingy, while WAP is like HTML 'lite'...
So, in a way GPRS is one type of courier, while WAP is a way of writing the address on the envelope ;)
If that isn't clear (hey, it IS Sunday :p ) - try wikipedia
