Oh, the very best kind of nonsense. That’s right, we’re talking about the Amazon smartphone once again, specifically Amazon smartphone specs, and even more specifically the Amazon smartphone display size.
Where were we with the Amazon smartphone? Ah, it was actually good old DigiTimes that said just a couple of weeks ago: Don’t expect the Amazon smartphone in Q2.
Well, the Amazon smartphone launch date still seems to be very much up in the air. The specs have reportedly been changed, but it’s not clear if that’s the reason for the phone’s tardiness, or perhaps it’s ‘cause Foxconn production ain’t as smooth as Bezos Inc had hoped.
In any case, the Amazon smartphone display has supposedly been upped from 4.3in to 4.7in. That makes sense in today’s smartphone climate; only Apple would dare fire out a flagship phone beneath 4.7in.
The Amazon smartphone is also tipped to rock a heavily tailored version of Android, much like the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet.
At best, we’re told to expect the Amazon smartphone launch in late Q2, but don’t hold your breath.
