How do I download music onto my Samsung Galaxy Y?
Just got a Samsung Galaxy Y and wondering how I can download music onto it. Willing to pay! So looking for an Android version of iTunes really. Is there such a thing?

If you go to android market and type in amazon theirs an application where you can buy and download songs 
just remember to back them up on your computer otherwise if you need to reset your phone you need to ask amazon to allow you to redownload them...

Treab, can't you use it as an external storage device as well, just like most Android handsets?

When I bought my one, the people in carphone warehouse ( I think thats where i went??) said I could get Itunes on it? But I don't know how? please help :L

you can get songs from your pc's itunes onto your phone by converting the song to mp3 but you cant have itunes on your phone...

Hopefully, they meant you can sync your iTunes music from the PC to your phone.
If they ACTUALLY suggested there was an iTunes app for Android phones, go back and kick them real hard

you can get songs from your pc's itunes onto your phone by converting the song to mp3 but you cant have itunes on your phone...
You don't even need to convert anything. Androids play both MP3 and AAC just fine. If the songs was bought a while ago it may have Apple DRM on it, in which case you need to:
a) Buy the "upgrade" from iTunes
b) Burn it onto a CD, then rip the CD, giving you a clean DRM-less version.
c) Find a third-party app to remove DRM that works (although that's easier said than done these days, as Apple broke a lot of those with constant updates).
You can sync your iTunes library with an Android too using DoubleTwist, HTC Sync etc.
