EDIT: Yup, it seems that the supposed Droid Bionic Twitter account is indeed a load of old mince, as confirmed by PCMag...
Remember the Motorola Droid Bionic, first unveiled alongside the Motorola Atrix and Xoom at CES in January? Motorola has been carrying the dual-core beauty in its womb for almost nine months, and the US manufacturer has finally announced its due date.
For those in the States, at least, the Motorola Droid Bionic will finally land on September 8.
The announcement was made via a Tweet by @DroidBionic, promising: “On September 8th 2011, the Motorola Droid Bionic will be in your hands.”
The Motorola Droid Bionic has a 4.3in display, 1GHz dual-core OMAP 4430 processor, 8MP camera, 1080p video capture, and will run Gingerbread (Android 2.3). Not too far off the Samsung Galaxy S II, then.
Needless to say there’s no indication of a UK release any time soon. In the meantime, you can console yourselves with the QWERTY-toting Motorola Fire and Motorola Pro.
