According to latest EE announcements you would need to be on special contract in order to take advantage of LTE. It will not be just a matter of phone.
You might want to wait for actual service plans to appear.

PS. Next time ask T-Mobile for LTE. 4G is very broadly defined term.

shaz2sxy - sorry, can you please read your original post and then your comment. Then tell us what it is you want?!
Are you just telling us about the fact, the well-publicised fact that the current SGS3 models aren't '4G' or is there a question in this all? I honestly do not understand, because your first post makes no sense at all. :) Thanks

Let me fix it for you. S3 is NOT LTE. I never seen any claims about it not being 4G. You almost got it.
LTE != 4G

shaz2sxy  Sep. 25, 2012 at 13:47

lol I'll try again sorry guys

T-mobile are saying that there stock of S3 will work on the 4g(LTE) network. From what I can tell the current S3 in the UK is only 3g.

They have told me that an update will make it 4g(LTE)

Thanks. :)
Might be interesting to a lot of folks...

Unless they are already shipping the lte version (unlikely but I guess possible) I'd get ready to send it back to them. Hope you have no difficulties doing so if they've misinformed you.
I don't think upgrading now is a good idea with EE so much of an unknown

shaz2sxy  Sep. 26, 2012 at 16:39

at work so havent seen the phone but misses informed th model number is i9300. so not LTE. will double check when I get home tonight :(

AhmadCentral  Sep. 26, 2012 at 18:26

They're lying to you. No UK network is selling the S3 with 4G capable radio.

EE will be selling it later this year.

I spoke with the Orange retentions team today and I was told that the SGSIII LTE version will be with them in the next few weeks. As Orange and T-Mobile are EE I assume the same would apply to T-Mobile.

Pondlife  Sep. 29, 2012 at 13:56

So if he can just get tmobile to talk to orange he should be able to get this sorted ;)
