How easy is it to jailbreak an iPhone?

(Further to my question about blocking... I think it might only be possible after jailbreaking...) How easy is it to jailbreak an iPhone? Given that I have very little technical experience, would you recommend it? ;) Can anything go wrong?

Very easy. You download the Evasion tool for Mac/Win/Linux. Connect your iPhone, and then run the Evasion programme which will prompt you through the process, mostly by telling you not to touch your phone, yet. It'll reboot a couple of time, re-organising your iPhone's file-system (without affecting your apps, settings or media - no worries ;) ).

Once it's done, you will find a new icon on one of your homescreens named Cydia. That is basically the "appstore" for tweaks, themes, apps etc"... Oh, during the jailbreak, make sure your iPhone has internet connection - either WiFi or 3G... Cydia and various packages get downloaded in the background.

Once you're set up, I suggest you only ever install one Cydia app/tweak at a time. See how it works... if you install too much in one go, you won't know which one (IF any) is causing problems. Still, if any Cydia app causes problems, the phone will start in safe-mode. you can then access Cydia and remove the guilty tweak...

Read up on recommended tweaks, mods and apps. As with all appstores there is a lot of rubbish in Cydia; but many useful things are to be found - depending on your needs...

N.B.: DO NOT UPDATE to iOS 6.1.3 if you want to jailbreak!!!!! 6.1.3 kills evasion! It IS currently impossible to jailbreak, and may well be unbreakable for months.
