You may recall some confusion over just when the new Google Nexus 7 tablet would be available here in the UK. Some claimed August 28, and some September 13.
Well the plot has just thickened, as it were, as Ebuyer, the site behind the August 28 date, has changed its tune, but now says it expects stocks to arrive even earlier, on August 24.
That's a Saturday, as it happens, but it's a claim we find hard to dismiss. After all, given the attention Ebuyer got in the first place from saying it'd have the Nexus 7 in stock before the end of the month when the likes of Currys and PC World were (and still are) saying it'll only be available on September 13, why go to the trouble of claiming an even earlier date if it wasn't true?
And while the Ebuyer site itself contains only the fairly non-committal “we are expecting this item on: 24 Aug 2013”, Eurodroid points out Ebuyer has sent out an email promising “guaranteed delivery” for the day in question.
Which is two weeks on Saturday, just to make sure you're clear.
