The Huawei Ascend P1 was mentioned as an EE LTE launch device a couple of weeks ago, alongside the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S III, Nokia Lumia 920 and iPhone 5.
Now we’re hearing that the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE will remain exclusive to EE in the United Kingdoms.
Of course, EE – the joint venture of Orange and T-Mobile – will be the first network to offer LTE in the UK, getting a cheeky head start over disgruntled rivals Telefonica O2, "Big Red" Vodafone and Hutchison Three.
The latter three are having to wait till Ofcom’s 2013 UK LTE spectrum auction, and now it seems that they’ll miss out on the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE too. Oh dear.
Huawei Ascend P1 LTE specs include a 4.3in Super AMOLED display, 8MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.5GHz processor. As an added bonus, the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE’s battery will swell to 2,000mAh. That’s compared to 1,670mAh on the original P1.
As for Huawei Ascend P1 LTE UK pricing, it’s a mystery for now, but we’ll inevitably hear more in the weeks to come.
