Why do my emails arrive 1-2 days late? (Motorola Milestone)

If you use a ‘task killer’ on your Motorola Milestone, this might cause emails to arrive 1-2 days late. It’s best to leave the email app running at all times. Although task killers are widely used to free up memory, you’re essentially forcing the app to quit, which can cause problems like the one described.

...oh G*d...so many reasons... hm...what version of Android? What email provider? What network? Pop or non-pop? All accounts? Did you set up the account/s manually or did you let Android do it?
