What's the best eReader purely for reading eBooks?

What's the best eReader purely for reading eBooks? Is there anything better than the humble 6in Kindle?

Right now, the Kindle Paperwhite has been getting rave reviews, but that's only fine if you live in the US.

Personally, I've only ever owned a Kindle Keyboard (as they are called nowadays), so I'm not really in a position to comment on any other eReaders :(

However, I should add the latest vanilla Kindle is pretty cheap and has a very nice size.

Asus Eee Reader DR900 - (used to be) the only 9 inch eInk Touchscreener http://ebookreaderstore-de.webshopapp.com/asus-eee-reader-dr900.html

Or Onyx Boox M91S http://ebookreaderstore-de.webshopapp.com/onyx-boox-m91s.html

Also, the Kindle DX! To be honest, I find the 6in eReaders too small - though I see the appeal for commuters, travellers etc...

I personally think 6-inches is perfect, but that's just my opinion. :)

Oh, the new-ish 6in Kindle Touch and Kobo are lovely, but I use a lot of PDFs (sorry...) and none of the eInk devices are very good at zooming etc PDFs...thus prefer the 9.7 inchers.

For ordinary sized readers maybe the Kobo Glo due out next month?

Haha. Again, perhaps not relevant for those outside the UK, but maybe the XGA display on the Kindle Paperwhite would prove better at handling PDFs.

Kobo Glo also has xga ;)

Good point! Exciting time for eReaders that's for sure. Maybe time to upgrade my Kindle.

The Paperwhite is interesting, indeed. I pretty much decided to stay with the N9 until something more interesting and straightforward comes out. So maybe a Paperwhite :D
Although I'm still intrigued by the jetbook...
