Europe to get ViewSonic ViewPad 7x love in September

Europe to get ViewSonic ViewPad 7x love in SeptemberThe ViewPad 7x was first revealed yonks ago (May, to be precise), and ViewSonic has finally given us a European release date and price. About time, chaps.

A press release from the Americans details a series of “showstoppers” set to be displayed at IFA in Berlin at the end of the week, and one of those is the ViewSonic ViewPad 7x.

The blurb explains that the ViewSonic ViewPad 7x “utilises a stylish design, using injection moulding techniques that moves away from conventional tablet covers and delivers lightweight yet durable casing.”

On the spec front we’ve got Android 3.2 (Honeycomb), integrated GPS, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 8GB of storage, front and rear cameras, and the 7in display has a 1024x600 resolution.

ViewSonic promises the ViewPad 7x will arrive in late September, with an ESP of €349. That’s about £310 in our money.

Other ViewSonic wares on display in Berlin will include the ViewSonic V350 Dual SIM Android Phone, ViewPad 7e budget tablet, and ViewPad 10pro – Windows Oaktrail tablet. We’ll inevitably have more on those later in the week.
