We're always wary of placing too much stock in retailers' pre-order pages, as a lot of the time we suspect quite frankly that they've no more idea of when a new phone is coming than anyone else and are just taking a stab in the dark so us press types will write about it.
But we can exclusively reveal that that the Samsung Galaxy Note will possibly be here in late October or early November 2011 - a Samsung account manager has actually confirmed it.
Word has reached us that a senior account manager within Samsung has confirmed to our source that the Galaxy Note is already being used regularly by Samsung employees over in Korea, and that the Clove story we wrote yesterday is absolutely right – never mind early 2012, the Galaxy Note is on its way well ahead of Christmas.
"I spoke to my contact at Samsung last night and he had just arrived back from Korea. He advised me that the Samsung note 5.3 is looking to be released late October/early November," our source indicates.
He also says he got to check out the Galaxy Note in the flesh, and that his contact within Samsung said it had been “received with huge excitement” by his clients.
We're also told to expect another couple of important Samsung launches before the end of the year and early 2012 – including the full replacement for the Samsung Galaxy S II early in February – which is bang on target for a 12-month turnaround from the S II's Mobile World Congress touchdown.
We haven't been able to confirm the accuracy of the Galaxy Note's £500+VAT pre-order price on Clove, but we're trying to find out and will post here as soon as we know more.
