Well my exploration of windows 7.5 is coming to an end...

Well guys i decided to sell my phone... (on amazon atm) and what did i learn from the experience...

honestly i was shocked...

by how poor it was honestly it has some good points i.e. the speed of the os but the phone has a major major failure... and thats the appstore i tried as many of the games as possible if they were free and well they sucked... and unlike apple windows doesn't allow for free trials which severely weakens the chance of encouraging people like me to pay 4-5 quid for a game... compared to gta3 for 2.99 odd w7.5 has along way to go to get out the mire....

I hope you have learnt your lesson.
Please do not buy a WP8 phone.

After KIN, Zune and Bing, and suddenly everyone trusts Microsoft to compete against Apple and Android phones? That's an incredulous leap of faith.

Good point.
To be fair - I don't think Treab "trusted" MS...he was just curious and the device was on offer.

And TREAB: is that ALL? The price of games? C'mon, spill - there have got to be other reasons. Also: how much for the phone?

tbh though jan the point of a smartphone is about the applications and i dunno if i just hate ms's way of selling (not a huge fan of ms's marketplace on the xbox) but i seemingly can't find apps i use all the time on android... the hardware is good but its the software that really lets it down...

currently on sale on amazon for 110 plus p and p... lets see if it sells..

Fair enough ;) Your first post made it sound like price/quality of games was the biggie. If important apps are absent, I can't blame you. Well...I could :p

i just think windows needs to stop flashing the cash on adverts and BUY SOME APPS... honestly if they could get some good games/apps and give them away for free to people on w7.5 more people might be willing to test the os.

I was right, the phone was in a drawer...now it's for sale ;). Did the 710 even last until your sister's wedding (which was why you bought the thing in the first place, wasn't it)?

Pondlife  Aug. 9, 2012 at 13:05

According to WS spokesman Elop ;) they had a high percentage of the top 100 didn't they?
I thought they were paying to get some apps developed.
What was IE like, heard some describe it as best browser on a phone, mind you heard that about almost all browsers..

What was the KIN?
Zune wasn't all that bad, not that it launched here iirc, shame that like this they made you couple it with pc software though.

What was the KIN?

Thou shalt never speak of such evil....Google is thy friend...

JanSt / MOD  Aug. 9, 2012 at 13:20

pondlife,
the Kin was MS's qwerty phone thing. That's all you need to know.

If you've got £78.88 you'd need to factor out postage too.
