Facebook app update brings Timeline goodness to iOS

Facebook app update brings Timeline goodness to iOSAn update to the Facebook app for iOS has introduced a sprinkle of features, most notably the relatively new Timeline stuff.

However, only iPhone Facebook users will able to rock da Timeline sh*t for now. Facebook Timeline for iPad will follow shortly.

Version 4.1 of the Facbeook app for iOS allows iPhone users to view pages already set up with Timeline. If you haven’t already done so, you’ll have to set up Timeline via the desktop Facebook site.

Facebook Timeline essentially allows you to view junk month-by-month, and also makes it easier to skip back to particular dates rather than having to cry More, More, More in the midnight hour ad nauseam.

Other new features introduced by Version 4.1 include access to friend lists, subscribers and subscriptions; faster, better performance overall; and slicker photo interaction, making it easier to view, upload and comment on pics.

The Facebook app for Android got a pretty significant update the other day too. You can check out my review right here.

Like the new "top story" rubbish that im still despertatly trying to avoid/disable im keeping as far away from updates like this as possible so not interested in this in the slightest

With the iOS app its annoying that they hid the "chat" function deep in the app, its probably partly why the iOS FB Chat app has got so popular as people havent realised you can still chat in the full app!
