Facebook Home hit Google Play around a month ago, with support for a very small number of high-end phones, namely the Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Note II, HTC One X and HTC One X+
The two latest big-name flagships have reportedly jumped on board too, that’s the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.
I say reportedly, as Google Play hasn’t updated its official list of supported devices, though it did previously promise to show the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 some Facebook Home-flavoured love.
Credit goes to SlashGear, which explains that attempting to use Facebook Home on the Samsung Galaxy S4 in particular yields the error message: “Your device is not supported yet”.
However, tap “Use Home Anyway” and it appears to function normally. It’s a similar story with the Sony Xperia ZL.
The homescreen takeover thingy quickly notched up 500,000 users, and this week Team Zuckerberg said Facebook Home was close to 1 million installs. Facebook use is supposedly up around 25% among those peeps as a result, since it’s, like, right there.
Facey B has also acknowledged that there are around 10,000 installs of Facebook Home via the unofficial APK.
