What's the fastest way to text - qwerty or touch?

Depends on who is typing. And on what. There are crap hardware qwerties, and crap touchcreen keyboards... that's my opinion. Fave? Noia E71, Bold 9900, HP/Palm Pre... and, gulp, iPhone, N9, HTC One S

Depends who's typing. Personally, touch, though I think my technophobe mum may disagree entirely :p!

I find t9 keypad and predictive faster than qwerty. SwiftKey is faster than qwerty for me.

Swype (concept, not app) is fastest, but it takes a lot of time getting used to.

There is no difference between keyboard and touch. Auto-complete and key variety/placement is more important. Some touch allows you to define your own keys or change existing mappings.

Yes, ctpahhik, good points... It's really about finding what works for you. There's no 'best' applicable to all users.
