Sony Ericsson might be churning out Android phones like there’s no tomorrow, with something like 68 (only a slight exaggeration) new handsets revealed this year alone, but the manufacturer hasn’t forgotten about good old feature phones.
Two new feature phones were revealed through Facebook, and – looking at the specs – they’re much the same, ‘cept one of them has a keyboard. Sound familiar? It’s a fairly standard SE tactic.
The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman is aimed at music fans. With the new Zappin feature, users can preview the chorus of the next song and decide if the full track’s worth listening to. It’s also possible to lower the vocals if you fancy signing along.
The Sony Ericsson txt pro (gr8 name LOL) is aimed at social networking types. The friends application can aggregate Facebook and Twitter updates for up to five friends.
Both phones have 3in (400x240) displays, 3.2MP cameras, expandable memory (up to 32GB via microSD), and weeks of standby time.
The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and txt pro will be released in Q3 in “selected markets”.
