Final version of Mango leaked

Final version of Mango leakedFor the handful of you with Windows Phone 7 handsets, get ready to wet your pants: the final version of Mango, Windows Phone 7.5, has leaked. You can install it on your phone right now.

It’s reckoned that installing the Mango update will take a couple of hours, though – as always with these things – proceed at your own risk. If it goes boobs-up, you’re very much on your own. For full instructions and a link to the update, head over to xda-developers.

The update is available to those already running a beta version of Mango, and users with 7392 – that’s the post-NoDo security update.

The final version of Mango was delivered to networks and manufacturers at the end of July. There are rumours that the official Mango release could be as early as September 1.

Microsoft claims that Mango introduces no less than 500 new features, including enhanced multitasking, threaded conversations, and IE9 with HTML 5 support.

Agreed. Next to the upcoming new Xbox 360 interface and Windows 8, this makes perfect sense.
