Ohhhhhhhhdear

How can I find my iPhone?

Slightly embarrassing question!

I've lost my iPhone somewhere in our house, and it's definitely here, because I was using it when I got home, the door is locked, and no one has come or gone.

Unfortunately the volume is off and it doesn't vibrate. Is there a way to remotely force it to make a noise like an alarm?

Yes, login to iCloud.com and go to Find my iPhone. From there you should be able to initiate a sound of some kind even if the volume is turned down or if the phone is on silent.

You can force an Android phone to ring using the locator feature of "Android Device Manager", can't "Find My iPhone" do something similar?
