I can't find Skype for Android 2.3 on the Nexus S

When I search the Android market there are no results for "Skype" - I just get a bunch of irrelevant applications. Then I went to the Skype website and it says to go to http://www.skype.com/m to download the app. I went to that url on my browser but I got 404 Error when it forwarded to the market.android.com url.

So what's going on? Is Skype not supported on the Nexus S? Why doesn't it show in the market? Is there an alternative way to get it on the phone?

If your phone isn't recognised when you visit the skype mobile site go to post #174 of this thread in droidforums.com http://www.droidforums.net/forum/xeudoxus/78843-apks-unlocked-apps-18.html

I think it's not in the market for the Nexus S because it doen't work 100% (calls e.g. only via WiFi etc...). On the Skype forum they say you CAN download from wwww.skype.com/m (go there with the Nexus' browser).

Here's one of the discussions on Skype's forum http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=786335

Hah! It appeared today in the Android market when I searched for it. So I guess Skype fixed it up to recognise the Nexus S. Seems to work fine so far but I haven't tried much.

Odd, Skype 2.0 oughta be in the market for the Sony Ericsson Neo. Maybe skype are fiddling with it..
