Should I fix broken screen on nokia 5800 xpress music?

I have an old nokia 5800 xpress music phone and the screen keeps freezing on me, not really sure how to fix this problem. Is it worth paying for repair or would I probably just spend as much buying a new phone?

confusedfly,
what DO YOU mean by 'freeze'?
'Freeze' usually means a phone doesn't do anything anymore. Nothing.
You 'sound' like you just mean that the screen goes dark? If that IS what you mean => menu => settings => phone => display. Change screen-out time.

Otherwise - what DO you mean exactly?

Can you describe what you mean by 'freezing'? Sounds to me like a software issue rather than a screen problem?!
Back up your content (either to sd or to PC), and do a factory reset. First though, check via PC suite if there is a firmware update for your model. That might solve all issues.

i'm having the same problem! does the screen freeze everytime you lock the phone or it locks itself? I'm not really sure what to do on the situation
