Is it possible to fix touchscreen scratches without getting the screen replaced?

Is there anything I can do to make my touchscreen scratches look less severe without getting the entire screen replaced?

Displex seems to be the best product available, though there are reported mixed results. Worth a try for a couple of quid (inc postage) from Amazon.
